Oral surgery and implantology

Oral surgery is limited to surgery of the oral cavity, which includes surgical treatment of inflammation in the bone of origin of the tooth (periodontitis, cysts, granulomas), periodontal surgery, i.e. all oral-surgical procedures of the gums, whether it is about solving inflammatory processes or functional-aesthetic defects. The domain of oral surgery also includes the surgical extraction of teeth, as well as the removal of all changes in the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, accompanied by a pathologist's report on the nature of the changes removed.

Preprosthetic surgery is a very important segment when planning the complete rehabilitation of the bite and making the final prosthetic work. Whether it's about bridges or prostheses, whether it's prosthetics on implants. Such surgical procedures imply adequate preparation of bone structures and soft tissues for adequate acceptance of prosthetic works, which not only ensure the proper function of prosthetic works, but also satisfy the aesthetic appearance of a complete smile. As part of preprosthetic surgery, surgical interventions are performed that provide enough bone in all three dimensions to accept implants. In this sense, in our office, you have the opportunity to perform bone replacement with the so-called "artificial bone" Bio-Oss and Bio-Gide membrane from the Swiss company Geistlich. In addition, sinus-lift procedures are a daily routine in our offices, and thanks to a special ultrasound device (Piezotom from Mectron), such interventions are carried out completely safely on the sinuses, without fear of possible injury to the mucous membrane of the sinuses with its subsequent complications.

In the office, the installation of implants from the world's leading manufacturers and the production of all types of prosthetic restorations on implants are carried out.

Implantology provides the best replacement for a lost tooth. Dental implants have a screw shape that imitates the root of a missing tooth. They are made of titanium, a material that is well accepted by the human body.

The installation of dental implants is the best solution from the point of view of function, aesthetics, durability and preservation of the remaining teeth. The installation of implants avoids the grinding of adjacent teeth, and sometimes they are the only possibility to avoid making dentures.

Dental implants are installed in case of:

  • individual tooth replacements
  • multiple tooth replacements
  • total toothlessness
  • of making a prosthesis supported by mini dental implants

Installing dental implants is simple and is done under local anesthesia. After installation, it takes three to six months for the implant to solidify in the bone, after which the dental intervention continues with the creation of bridges and crowns. In the meantime, so that the patients are not toothless, temporary crowns are made. In certain situations, the final solution can be reached much earlier, shortly after the installation of the implant.
